The Resistance is the fifth studio album by the English rock band Muse, released on 14 September 2009 in the United Kingdom through Warner Bros. Records and Muse's Helium-3 imprint. It was self-produced and recorded from September 2008 to May 2009 at Studio Bellini in Lake Como, Italy.
